On 25 February, 2024, the Ambassador of the European Union, His Excellency, Mr. Charles Whiteley and the First Secretary, Mr. Sebastian Riger-Brown met Kazi Mohammad Mahbobor Rahman (Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Dhaka) at his office and they talked on different issues. Later, in a session entitled ‘Optimum Currency Area Theory: A Study of the European Union,’ Mr. Charles Whiteley spoke on the EURO and the European Union, a successful optimum currency area. The session was chaired by Kazi Mohammad Mahbobor Rahman. It was a great opportunity for the students to understand the European Union from the EU Ambassador. They also met Prof. Tasneem Siddiqui, the Chairperson of the Department of Political Science.
